Dear Friends and Colleagues
It is our great pleasure and honor to share with you the exciting information that the Asia Pacific Congress of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology 2013 (APCAACI 2013) will be held at the Taipei International Convention Center, Taipei, Taiwan from November 14 to 17, 2013.
With the major theme “Allergy, Infection, and Immunity in a Changing World” of this tri-annual congress, we are not only focused on the imminent problems of epidemics, cares, and treatments of allergic diseases in this most populous region of the world, but also are more inspired to expand our reach further beyond the borders of Asia Pacific by bringing together basic researchers, clinical practitioners, partners in the industry and colleagues from the academy to discuss the latest research break through and advances in the field.
We have invited numbers of world’s eminent clinical specialists and Nobel Laureates in immunology as our keynote speakers in the upcoming 2013 APCAACI congress. The organizing committee together with the international advisory committee has prepared exciting scientific programs for everyone to take part on. The meeting will be the most substantial congress among allergy, asthma and clinical immunology fields of our region in 2013. It will provide all participants an opportunity to exchange knowledge, share ideas and collaborate on new researches to strengthen and development the advancements we’ve achieved this far, thereby, improving clinical care and treatment of allergic diseases in our Asia Pacific region and throughout the world.
In addition to the Scientific Programme, exciting and memorable social events, such as “Night in the Palace Museum” are being planned. Taking this wonderful opportunity of a world union, I wish to invite each and every one of you to participate in this Congress and experience the warm hospitality and the rich cultural heritage of beautiful Island of Formosa. To Whom It May Concern,
On behalf of the Executive and Board of the Asia-Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology, I invite you to attend the most important scientific event in our region this year – the 9th APCAACI to be held in Taipei, Taiwan,14th to 17th November 2013.
We live in exciting times with many nations in our Association undergoing enormous change both economically and socially.
With its population of almost four billion people, and its cultural and economic diversity, the AP region faces many challenges. Clinicians and scientists are confronted by the increasing burden of non -communicable diseases of which allergic disorders including asthma, and immune disorders are a major part.
Thus we have chosen “Allergy, Infection and Immunity in a Changing World” as the theme for the 2013 Congress reflecting the importance of the interactions between allergy and infection. We hope the Congress provides an important forum for discussing various aspects of allergic and immune disorders and their initiation and triggering by infectious processes. This knowledge is needed to equip us to face the rising tide of allergic disorders.
The allergy epidemic experienced by those in the developed nations over the last two decades is now a reality in our region and we must rise to the challenge of managing these conditions in our populations. Understanding the complex relationships that predispose to, and drive, allergic inflammation will be essential in informing our ability to manage the problems we will face in the future. There are important differences in the patterns of sensitization and disease expression in Asian countries so our 2013 Congress is an ideal venue to feature world experts capable of exploring the interactions between allergy, infection and immunity.
In addition, the 2013 Congress will provide a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from across the region and beyond, as well as to develop new friendships and important collaborations in the Immunology/Allergy community.
Please plan to attend and contribute to this important event in our APAAACI calendar.
I wish you an enjoyable and valuable experience in Taipei.
|President, Asia Pacific Association Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (APAAACI)|
